2017 Annual Powderpuff Game

The annual Martin Luther King High School (King) powderpuff game took place Friday, November 3rd at 6:00 pm. The powderpuff game is a fundraiser to help cover the 2018 senior class activities. The event included 23 boys as cheerleaders and 70 girls as the flag football players. The red team was coached by Mr. Warren and Mr. Gilleece and the blue team was coached by Mr. Pile and Mr. Cleary. The girls practiced for two weeks, but the boys needed three.  The boys were assisted by song leaders, Vanessa Mercado and Jordan Vogel and by cheer captains, Ashley Verdugs, Sophie Elias, and Hallie Skala all 12th graders. The blue team defeated the red team narrowly, 20-19.
